Fresh Snowfall in an Oak Savanna (CX-230)
A heavy snow had fallen in southern Wisconsin and I decided it would be a good morning for making a photograph. After tramping about on snowshoes, not something I do very well, especially with 2 feet of snow, camera gear and a tripod, I was headed back to the truck when this row of bur oaks caught my eye. Whether part of an old oak savanna or an old fence line I’m not sure, but I
still loved the wintry composition.
