Wall Of Wood (JM-12056)

The temperate rain forests in the Pacific Northwest support an amazing density of large old-growth trees (i.e., lots of large trees growing close together). In this image, along Washington's Quinault River, the closeness of the massive spruce and cedar trees seem to suggest an impenetrable "wall of wood" created by these giants.
